Data Centre Engineer (MIS/IT 5)

Summary

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following position within the Information Communication Technology Division of the Police Department: Under the general direction of the Data Centre Manager, the Data Centre Engineer has responsibility for designing, setting up, and managing information/network systems at data centers; monitoring systems operations and administering IT solutions to ensure servers, hard drives, and other data center equipment function efficiently.

Qualifications

• • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• • Certifications in Microsoft and Cisco Technologies.
• • Four (4) years of experience in a similar position.

• Special Conditions Associated with the Job:

  • • Work will be conducted in an office outfitted with standard office equipment and specialized software. The environment is fast-paced with ongoing interactions with critical stakeholders and meeting tight deadlines, which will result in high degrees of pressure on occasions.
  • • Will be required to travel locally and overseas to fulfill the requirements of the role.
