Medical Imaging Practitioner (HPC/MIP 1) - St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital
Summary
The North-East Regional Health Authority, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health & Wellness with responsibility for the management and delivery of health care and public health services within the parishes of St. Ann and St. Mary, is seeking dynamic, proactive and forward-thinking individuals to fill the position of Medical Imaging Practitioner (HPC/MIP 1) at the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital. Reporting to the Chief Medical Imaging Practitioner, the incumbent will be responsible for performing activities associated with delivery of diagnostic radiography services within a specified radiology facility. Salary Range: 💰 $3,241,533 – 3,853,164 JMD per annum.
Responsibilities
- • Performing general x-ray and other imaging procedures according to international standards as directed by protocol and as per medical requisition.
- • Performing bedside and operative radiography, in consultation with the Senior Radiographer, using prescribed protocols.
- • Managing imaging examinations in accordance with approved patient care procedures.
- • Manipulating imaging equipment using electrical factors in accordance with radiation safety regulations.
- • Performing emergency x-rays outside of normal working hours.
Qualifications
- • First degree in Diagnostic Imaging or equivalent.
- • One (1) year experience in a similar position.

Reporting to the Consultant Dental Surgeon. The incumbent will be responsible for the delivery of professional dental services and preventative dental care in a community health centre setting. In accordance with the Government’s policies, regulations/legal requirements and guidelines the dental surgeon will ensure continuous improvements in the quality of care in the delivery of these health services. Salary Range: 💰 $6,799,334 – $8,082,271 JMD per annum.
