
Human Resource Officer (Employee Relations) (GMG/AM 3)
Summary
The incumbent will update and maintain the Human Resource Records Management System, which supports the processing of all employee data/information. 💰$2,190,302 – $2,945,712 JMD per annum
Responsibilities
- • Maintains the HR Information Systems database, to provide support for the decision-making process;
- • Maintains the Human Resource Management and Development (HRM&D) vacancy listing;
- • Tracks HRM&D transaction processing time, to monitor and ensure efficiency in satisfying the Customer Service Charter Standards;
- • Conducts research to keep the Branch informed of industry changes and abreast with new best practices;
- • Liaises with relevant Sections, to ensure proper operation of relevant systems, to reduce the possibility of the compromise of personal data;
- • Prepares various reports on staff movement, entitlement and training;
- • Prepares print outs (reports) of Staff List of respective groups and list of vacancies within the Department, as required;
- • Provides support services to the Branch, by preparing schedules of appointment, Personnel Data Forms, Registration/Separation;
- • Prepares personal data forms and schedules for officers who have been recommended for appointment and acting assignments;
- • Assists with the processing of Pension Benefits;
- • Assists with applications for leave;
- • Assists with the updating of Service Records for staff;
- • Assists with the planning and implementation of social and welfare programmes;
- • Verifies honoraria claims for members of staff engaged in overtime assignments;
- • Ensures that service records are up to date and maintained;
- • Tracks data/correspondences, through the use of database application software;
- • Assists with the provision of personnel, administrative and benefits services for employees.
Required Skills
- • Sound knowledge of computer applications – Microsoft Excel, Publisher, Word and Access

Qualifications
- • Associate Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or related qualifications;
- • Two (2) years’ working experience in a similar capacity;
- • Diploma in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or related qualifications;
- • Four (4) years’ working experience in a similar capacity.
