Commercial Insights & Reporting Analyst

Summary

The Commercial Insights & Reporting Analyst in Jamaica will transform complex data into actionable business insights to drive strategic decision-making, optimize performance, and enhance competitiveness across B2B and B2C mobile operations. This role focuses on delivering accurate KPI reporting, forecasting, and market trend analysis while supporting cross-functional teams with data-driven recommendations to achieve revenue and growth targets.

Responsibilities

• • Generate weekly and monthly mobile KPI reports (e.g., subscriber growth, churn, ARPU, roaming revenue) for all territories, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery to stakeholders.
• • Monitor and analyze forecast variances across markets, provide detailed insights into deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• • Develop ad hoc reports to assess mobile penetration, product adoption, and performance trends across regional markets ("islands").
• • Design and maintain interactive dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to visualize key metrics, enabling stakeholders to quickly interpret trends and performance drivers.
• • Automate recurring reports to streamline data delivery and reduce manual effort.
• • Track and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to identify risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
• • Collaborate with Pricing, Product, and Lifecycle teams to provide data-driven insights for pricing strategies, promotions, and retention initiatives.
• • Support the development of mobile performance forecasts (e.g., subscriber growth, revenue) using historical data, market trends, and predictive modeling.
• • Highlight risks and opportunities in forecasts, proposing actionable strategies to close gaps and achieve targets.
• • Partner with Finance, Sales, and Marketing teams to align reporting methodologies and ensure data consistency across systems (e.g., CRM, ERP).
• • Provide analytical support for business cases, product launches, and post-campaign performance reviews.
• • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across reporting systems, resolving discrepancies and maintaining compliance with internal governance standards (e.g., SOX).

Required Skills

• • Understand of advanced billing platforms (Cerillion, Liberate and Comverse) and Data Warehouses/Lake
• • Experience with Salesforce a must
• • Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• • Experience with statistical tools (Python, R) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
• • Familiarity with telecom KPIs (e.g., churn, ARPU, CLV) and forecasting methodologies.

• Soft Skills:

  • • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

• Industry Knowledge:

  • • Understanding of telecom market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and mobile product ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Education:

  • • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Business Analytics, Economics, or related field.

• Experience:

  • • 3–5 years in data analysis, commercial reporting, or business intelligence roles, preferably in telecom or technology.
