Summary

Provide the business unit with the support necessary to facilitate improved business practices using technology. Assist with the implementation and execution of strategies and activities to maintain high standards of service for data handling and archiving. Produce and facilitate the production of reports that enhance the unit’s ability to provide excellent service to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Process all data files received from clients to ensure an error free load to main software application.
  • Lead formal and informal projects for user testing of upgrades and modifications to assigned software applications.
  • Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of the data quality on core systems to meet the required internal and external standards.
  • Create procedure documentation.:
    • Review and take appropriate action to update or re-write existing procedures when necessary.
  • Provide technical support in the development of reports to enhance client service and assist with writing functional specifications for system modifications.
  • Fulfil reporting requirements concerning assigned duties, including progress reports on special projects and problems experienced.
  • Review current business practices and procedures to ensure that the most efficient solution is realized.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Sound knowledge of office automation, IT techniques and practices and database management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, customer relationship management software, data processing and management software, tools and/ or technology systems.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and data lifecycle processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Studies, from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • At least three (3) years working experience in data management, data analytics or a related field.
  • Knowledge of local data privacy legislation.
